Holly

A beautiful native evergreen. Classed as one of seven nobles of the wood in ancient Ireland. It is valuable to wildlife. Make an excellent dense slow growing, prickly evergreen hedge which will grow in dense shade and in exposed areas.  The dark green leaf reflects the light and lights up shady corners. Generally only the female plants produce berries. For a hedge, plant 60cm apart… and wait.
