Blackthorn. Prunus spinosa.

A native pollinator friendly hedge plant or small tree which produces the bitter black sloe. Smothered in white blossom around Easter before small green leaves unfurl. Tough and adaptable it makes an excellent native hedgerow on it’s own or planted with other native plants.
